Dyann Alkire had a BFA in Painting from the University of Washington in Seattle. She was born in Vancouver, Washington and lived in Portland, Oregon. She was a professional artist for many years and has had many shows. 


Selected collections include: Riverplace Hotel (Seattle/Portland), Arthur Anderson, Idaho First National Bank, SW Wash. Medical Center, Oregon Department of Transportation, Oregon Health Sciences Univ., Museu da Gravura, Brazil and many private collectors. Selected juried exhibitions include: Bumbershoot NW in Seattle, Oregon Artists Annual, and shows in China and Australia. Her work was chosen for the poster for the 13th Annual Oregon Governor’s Arts Awards. She was one of the founders of Blackfish Gallery in Portland, Oregon.
