I’m held hostage by nature, oftentimes birds, a good place to be. Nature images combine in my work with various shapes. It's an "interpretation" of nature.   

Although I pre-plan a lot, spontaneity is also important with the endless seeking, changing, layering, covering, uncovering, finding unknown possibilities, some detailed-oriented, some atmospheric, some abstract, some slightly real.  I spend a lot of time looking for various types of ideas and images that I feature in my work so I'm always "working" on my art. 

I've been a Printmaker for many years and a Painter. Painting is generally more spontaneous since it's just you and the canvas and I find myself in a different zone. I like both mediums but find myself painting more now.
